Topic:
‘Industrie 4.0’ has been discussed on a wide scale since it has first been coined nearly 10 years ago. Up until today, digitization, interoperability of machines and devices, as well as information transparency have become huge assets and indispensable processes within our Japanese and German economy. In order to stay competitive, companies invest an increasing amount of budget in R&D, cutting-edge technologies and training of employees as being an innovation driver in this field is of high strategic importance.
Have companies lived up to the concept of Industrie 4.0 yet? What has changed to the positive already, which visions are labelled unachievable just now or had to be put aside even? Which further steps need to be taken in order to maximize profit, flexibility and efficiency yet minimize expenditure and error rate? How could Japanese and German players benefit from strong cross-border cooperation?
We look forward to being hosted by a Japanese manufacturer of industrial robots and to getting the insights and expertise with a short speech. Furthermore, we will experience the direct connection of R&D and its practicability by visiting Yaskawa’s Academy as interface of knowledge and application.
